On 27th October the films ‘Maarten Van Severen. Werken – Work’ of Terenja Van Dijk and ‘The .03 chair of Maarten Van Severen’ of Pain Perdu will be on show in the Black Cinema House in Chicago (US). With their film series ‘Image, Building, Object: Exploring Architecture and Design on Film’ curators Casey Lurie and Tim Parsons (both School of the Art Institute of Chicago) and Michael Graham (Balloon Contemporary) explore the relationship between design and film, including how design and designers are portrayed in documentaries and how designers and architects have used film as a medium for expression and experimentation. Casey Lurie introduces the films and Maarten Van Severen’s work.
