Maarten Van Severen in the MAK

From 11 June until 5 October the MAK, or ‘Österreichisches Museum für Angewandte Kunst’, in Vienna will be hosting the exhibition ‘EXEMPLARY. 150 Years of the MAK – from Arts and Crafts to Design’. The curators have invited nine international design experts to confront objects in the MAK’s collection with contemporary design. Besides choosing designs by Philippe Starck and Jasper Morrison the German designer Konstantin Grcic (picture) also chose Maarten Van Severen’s LC95A and the CN° II as ‘exemplary’ furniture designs.
