Maarten Van Severen Chair at Biennale Interieur

KASK/School of Arts Gent and The Maarten Van Severen Foundation showcased the results of the master class of the first Maarten Van Severen Chair at the most recent Biennale Interieur. The exhibition included photos and objects of the workshop. The first “cahier” or book was also presented and signed by “chairman” Erwan Bouroullec. During their three-day master class with the French designer in 2015, students used the theme “Into the wild” as inspiration for the new projects they launched. They then spent a year working on the projects, reporting on their progress on the blog www.mvsc.be.
Besides a photo report of the workshop, the publication also contains a transcript of Erwan Bouroullec’s lecture in KASK on 1 December 2015, as well as an introductory essay by Hilde Bouchez. The publication was developed in close cooperation with Erwan Bouroullec and is available through www.artpapereditions.org.
